COLLEGE CORPS

Growing through service

Students gain real-world experience in leadership, communication, and sustainability.

About College Corps

Firstfruits Farm SLO is proud to partner with the #CaliforniansForAll College Corps as a Community Host Organization.

Through this statewide program, more than 10,000 college students across California gain hands-on experience supporting and learning from community-based organizations. The fellowship is designed to strengthen academic success and expand economic opportunity for a diverse group of students. Students can receive education awards and living stipends for their work.

At the farm, local fellows complete 450 hours of volunteer service focused on food security and climate action, contributing meaningful work that supports our neighbors and the health of the land.

Our fellows

Whether they’re welcoming volunteers, leading harvests, or pitching in across the field, our fellows are building practical farming knowledge and leadership skills.

Their service at the farm supports their future paths while also strengthening the work happening here at the farm and across our community.
