As understood by us Farmers
Firstfruits Farm SLO operates www.firstfruitsslo.org (the Site). We don't want to hide what we do here from you, but we do want you to know it's nothing nefarious. We do not sell any of our data to third parties. We do not rent any of our data to third parties. We use Mailchimp to manage our mailing list and store your email information if you gave it to us. We are a non-profit, but we rely on donors not advertisers. We do not share any data collected on the site with anyone. Honestly, we're not entirely sure how the site or the entire internet really works. And anyone who says otherwise is either really really smart or overstating their knowledge.
Log data lets us know when the site ain't displaying properly on certain devices and which devices people use most to view the site so we can design it to function best on that device. Don't make much sense to design for the display configurations of an Apple IIe when our users are on Android phones now does it?
Cookies are also delicious. Unless they have raisins and then they are compost. Digital cookies taste like nothing cause they only exist in the abstract world of the intangible internet.
We prefer the tangible sweetness of a haogen melon or the earthiness of kale.
When it comes to digital cookies, we try to avoid using ones that break our functionality if you refuse to accept them.
We link to our partners' websites cause we want them to thank them and give them credit for helping us and because we want them to succeed. We trust them to keep their sites updated so just let us know if they don't or if a link is broken.
